These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website www.mrpassports.com and all contracts concluded via this website between Marco Redmer Passports (also operating under the names Lion Collection and Lion Passports) and the user/customer/buyer (“Customer”).

By accessing, using, or placing an order on this website, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Disclaimer.

The online shop is available in English. However, the legally binding contractual language is German.

2. Website Operator

• The website www.mrpassports.com is operated by:
• Marco Redmer Passports, Location: Germany and registered company
  (“Lion Collection” and “Lion Passports” are marketing designations only and are not registered legal entities.)
• Contact details are provided in the legal notice (Imprint).
• This website is an online-only store for collectors and researchers of historical documents. There is no physical retail location.

3. Eligibility

• Only natural or legal persons who are at least 18 years old and legally competent are permitted to use this website and purchase goods.

4. Products and Nature of Goods

4.1 Product Characteristics

All products offered are physical, unique, historical items, including but not limited to:

• expired or invalid passports
• cancelled or invalidated licenses
• obsolete bank or credit cards
• frequent flyer cards
• historical documents, books, maps, and printed materials
• banknotes

All documents are expired, cancelled, invalidated, or otherwise rendered unusable and are sold exclusively for collecting, hobby, display, or research purposes.

They have no legal, identification, travel, financial, or functional validity.

4.2 Uniqueness and Condition

• Each product exists only once.
  All products are sold strictly on a “What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG)” basis.
• The Customer will receive exactly the item shown and described in the listing.
  After purchase, the item is permanently removed from the shop.
• All items are sold “as seen” and without any warranty or guarantee.

4.3 Product Descriptions

• Products are described accurately in text and images.
  If the Customer requires further information, they must contact the seller before purchasing.
• Failure to request clarification constitutes acceptance of the product description as complete and understood.

4.4 Excluded Accessories

• Any gold-colored round or rectangular metal objects visible in product photographs are not included in the purchase. They are used solely as photographic aids.

5. Ownership and Image Rights

• Ownership of the physical item transfers to the Customer upon full payment.
• However, the seller retains the perpetual right to store and use photographs and scans of the products for archival and documentation purposes, as the seller was the lawful owner at the time the images were created.

6. Gift Cards

• Digital gift cards are available in various denominations and may be redeemed exclusively on mrpassports.com/shop.
• Delivery is by email
• No cash redemption
• No refunds, exchanges, or cancellations
• Validity: 3 years where legally required (§ 195 BGB)

7. Order Process and Contract Formation

• By completing checkout and submitting payment, the Customer makes a binding offer to purchase.
• A legally binding distance selling contract is concluded once payment confirmation is received.
• Accepted payment methods include PayPal, credit/debit cards, Klarna, SEPA, ACH, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and others, depending on regional availability.
• All prices are stated in EUR (€).

8. Payment and Taxes

8.1 Advance Payment

• All orders must be paid in full in advance.
  Cash on delivery or payment upon collection is excluded.

8.2 VAT / Taxes

• The seller qualifies as a small business under § 19 UStG (Germany).
  Therefore, no VAT is charged or shown.

9. Shipping

9.1 Dispatch

• Orders are usually shipped within two business days after payment confirmation.
• Shipping is from Germany (books may ship directly from Romania).
• Each shipment includes a tracking number.

9.2 Transfer of Risk

• Once the shipment is handed over to the postal or courier service, risk passes to the Customer.

The seller is not liable for:

• delivery times
• transit delays
• customs inspections
• loss or damage caused by postal services

9.3 Customs and Import Duties

The Customer is solely responsible for:

• compliance with import laws
• customs clearance
• payment of duties, taxes, or fees
• Refunds due to customs seizure, refusal, or non-delivery are excluded.

10. Returns, Cancellations, and Refunds

10.1 Returns

• All sales are final.
  Returns or exchanges are not accepted.

10.2 Cancellations

• Cancellations are possible only until dispatch and before a tracking number is issued.
• Digital gift cards are excluded from cancellation.

10.3 Refunds

Refunds are granted only if the delivered item materially differs from the item shown in the listing.

The Customer must:

• notify the seller immediately
• return the item by registered mail
• provide a valid tracking number
• Return shipping costs are borne by the Customer.

No refunds are issued for:

• non-delivery due to customs
• uncollected shipments
• incorrect address details
• typographical errors
• gift cards

11. Right of Withdrawal

• The statutory right of withdrawal pursuant to § 312g (1) BGB is excluded under § 312g (2) No. 1 BGB, as the goods are unique and individually selected collector’s items.

12. Personal Data in Historical Documents

• The personal data visible on offered items was made public with the consent of the original owners or their relatives or through prior lawful circulation.
• If a Customer can demonstrate a close personal or familial relationship to a person depicted and has legitimate concerns, the seller will anonymize names or images upon request.

13. Prohibited Use and Liability Disclaimer

13.1 Prohibited Use

• Any misuse of the purchased items — including but not limited to identification, fraud, travel, or impersonation — is strictly prohibited.
• The seller assumes no responsibility or liability for any misuse.

13.2 Political Neutrality

• All items are politically neutral.
  No political statement, endorsement, or position is expressed or implied.

14. Conflict Resolution and Governing Law

• The parties agree to seek an amicable resolution in the event of a dispute.
• The Customer shall refrain from damaging the seller’s reputation, name, or online presence.

German law exclusively applies, 

• excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

15. Final Provisions

• If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
